JATC Provided 104 Children a Merrier Christmas
Junior Auxiliary of Taney County’s Christmas Assistance Project helped provide a brighter Christmas to 104 children, ages 6 months to 6 years. All of these children are enrolled in programs through OACAC Head Start, Early Head Start and Home-Based programs.
JATC Elves went shopping to fill the gift bags, and when they were finished each child received a hooded coat, gloves, an outfit, a book, and a toy. Bobbie Wydeen, Chair of the Christmas Assistance Project, said: “The children loved their gifts, and we helped make their Christmas brighter.”
JATC could not have provided all these gifts for the children without the help of a grant from Neighbors and Friends of Table Rock Lake and Ozarks Family Vision Centre who gave a donation for toys for these children. This was all in addition to the budget provided by JATC and donations from JATC members.
The smiles on the faces of Faith Magana and her mom Maria Magana are just one example of the happiness JATC was able to provide these 104 children at this special time of the year. That’s what Junior Auxiliary and this wonderful community are all about.
