Caring Hearts, Helping Hands, Changing Lives

In just a few days we will begin a new Junior Auxiliary year. We wondered as this year started if we would be able to do anything this year, due to COVID. We had to make some changes, but we were able to get quite a bit done this year.
This year's NAJA theme was "Bloom Where You Are Planted," and WOW did we really bloom. In spite of the challenges in this unusual year we were able to:

  • Move to our new office location

  • Find a way for everyone to get their service hours in

  • Complete all of the educational sessions we wanted to complete

  • Participate in the Hollister Grape Stomp event

  • Serve more than 200 children for Santa's Gift House

  • Add three new projects to our list with at least one specific to this year to address the needs of the community.

  • Add a second location to our Child Welfare Project

  • Revise our budget so that we could remain solvent

  • Participate in Give Ozarks

  • Receive grant monies for some of our projects

  • Get our application approved for the background checks now required to work with children

  • Hold our Prom Dress project event

We didn't give up. We continued to serve our community. Our slogan of “Caring Hearts—Helping Hands—Changing Lives” was in the backs of our minds with every project we worked on. We’re looking forward to the coming year with some new enthusiastic members joining our group of volunteer women. That’s the MAGIC of JATC.
